These Terms of Service govern your use of Rencard. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
01Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Rencard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the free features of Rencard. You must be at least 18 years old, or have parental consent, to purchase a Rencard Pro subscription. By using Rencard, you confirm you meet these age requirements.
02Description of service
Rencard is an AI-powered digital business card wallet. It lets you scan physical business cards, extract contact details using AI, store and search contacts, and share your own digital card via a public profile and QR code.
We may add, change, or remove features over time, and will do our best to communicate material changes.
03Free and Pro plans
The free plan includes 20 card scans, with additional credits available through our referral program.
Rencard Pro includes unlimited card scans, AI precision extraction, front and back scanning, priority support, and early access to new features.
We reserve the right to change plan features or pricing with reasonable advance notice.
04Payment terms
Rencard Pro is billed through Stripe at $4.99 per month or $44.91 per year. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
You can cancel anytime; your Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period. See our Refund Policy for details.
You authorize us to charge your payment method on file through Stripe for recurring subscription fees.
05Prohibited uses
You may not use Rencard for any illegal purpose or to store illegal content.
You may not scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from Rencard or other users' public profiles.
You may not upload cards or images you have no right to possess, attempt to reverse-engineer the service, interfere with its operation, or abuse the referral program.
06Intellectual property
Rencard and its branding, design, and software are the property of Rencard and protected by intellectual property laws.
You retain all rights to the card images and contact data you upload. You grant us a limited license to process and store that content solely to provide the service to you.
07Disclaimer of warranties
Rencard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI extraction accuracy is not guaranteed; always verify extracted details.
08Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rencard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
09Termination
You may stop using Rencard and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.
10Dispute Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@rencard.co to attempt informal resolution. Any dispute not resolved informally within 30 days shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules, conducted in California. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against Rencard. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court.
11Referral Program
Rencard offers a referral program where both referrer and referee receive 20 bonus scan credits when a referred user activates their account. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for money. Rencard reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral program at any time. Abuse of the referral program, including self-referrals or fraudulent signups, will result in account termination.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
